For decades, female rivalry behaviors were treated as “normal,” “something women do,” or simply personal conflicts.
But when exclusion is repetitive, when sabotage is intentional, and when humiliation is systematic, we are not talking about conflict, we are talking about emotional violence.
The term “Wollying” already existed, but it was brought to the debate in Brazil by the Instituto Quais de Mim and continues to be used in various other groups and communities.
Among the most common consequences are:
Low self-esteem – Anxiety and insecurity – Isolation – Abandonment of projects and opportunities – Emotional distress – Depression
It’s not just traditional bullying. While it shares characteristics with bullying, wollying has its own specific features:
